What is global warming?
Global warming is when the earth heats up and when the temperature rises. It happen when carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane which is the greenhouse gases trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere which increases the temperature. This causes damaged to many people, animals, and plants, many changes are being made that many can not take so they die.
-What Is the greenhouse effect?
The greenhouse effect is important because without it the earth would not be warm enough for humans to live, but if it becomes stronger it can make the earth warmer. If it's warmer than usual it can cause problems for humans, plants, and animals.
- How it works
- Our earth receives most of its radiation (energy) from the sun. When there are changeable gases in the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide and even water vapor, it traps the sun’s energy or heat inside. When it's notable to escape the atmosphere the added solar energy results in warmer air temperature. Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is a good thing because it keeps the earth from freezing, too much can cause extreme temperatures and stronger storms. During the day, the earth surface warms up in the sunlight, and at night the earth’s surface cools releasing the heat back into the air but some of the heat is trapped by the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. - For example the greenhouse is made out of glass, it traps the energy from the sun and keeps your plants warm, during day and night it gets warmer and warmer.
Pollution
- Every year in the U.S factories release over 3 million of bad chemical in the air, land, and water. Everyday human activities and most notably, modes of transportation. No matter where you go and what you do, they are parts of pollution. Pollution is the introduction of a contaminant into the environment. It is created mostly by human actions but can also be a result of natural disasters. Pollution has a detrimental effect on any living organism in an environment, making it virtually impossible to sustain life. Pollution harms the earth’s environment in many ways. The three types of pollution are : - Land:
Land pollution of the earth’s natural land surface. The main contributors to land pollution are littering, industrial factories, over crowed land fills, nuclear plants, and many more. - Air pollution:
Air pollution is the growth of unhealthy substance into the atmosphere that danger human life and other living matter
